Radiator Repairs, Coolant Flush & Water Pump Replacement
A radiator performs the critical function of keeping a vehicle’s engine from overheating. If your car needs a radiator repair or radiator flush, a new water pump or fan, we’ll pinpoint the problem and do the repairs right the first time. There are a few issues that can lead to having your radiator either fixed or replaced.
Signs that your radiator needs repair are:
• Your vehicle overheats
• Steam comes out from under the hood of your vehicle
• Radiator coolant temperature gauge is elevated
• There’s a radiator coolant leak under your car (red, yellow or green fluid)
Preventative Maintenance:
• Inspect radiator for leaks
• Check coolant levels
• Pressure test cooling system
• Check radiator hoses
• Get a coolant flush every two years
Belts & Hose Replacement
A big problem can happen very quickly if your vehicle’s belts and hoses are damaged. We recommend proper maintenance by having your vehicles belts and hoses checked regularly.
Engine Hoses – If a radiator hose develops a crack or hole, coolant will leak out and your car will overheat. Your vehicle may be undriveable.
Timing Belts – The timing belt is responsible for the timing of your engine, and if it’s stretched or damaged the engine can’t run properly. We recommend having your timing belt inspected every 9,200 or replaced every 62,000 miles.
Serpentine Belts – These belts are critical to the charging systems, air conditioning and cooling of your vehicle. While a serpentine belt is designed for long life, they do wear out eventually.
